Terry Price Schola! is happy welcome Terry Price to the directors chair for our May concerts. Terry has been Director of Music at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas since June of 1998. Before that, he served at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church in Irving, Texas, Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas and Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia. He has conducted at numerous music festivals overseas, and he also directed music for the Christmas Eve celebrations in Manger Square and at the Church of the Holy Nativity in Bethlehem in 1994. In 2009, the his choir at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church has been invited to be the featured American choir at the International Church Music Festival in Rome. He has worked closely with many internationally recognized conductors, including Bob Chilcott, Paul Leddington Wright, Sir David Willcocks, Tim Brown, Andrew Carter, Eleanor Daley, Johnny Mann and David Childs. In 2006, he was awarded the Choral Excellence Award by the Texas Choral Directors Association. Terry was involved in commercial recordings for a number of years with work in studios in Dallas, Nashville and London; his recording work includes everything from conducting symphony orchestra to directing the back-up singers for a Grammy-winning CD. As a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, he has been involved in the election of the Grammy Awards each year since 1985. Terry is married to Alyce, and they are very proud grandparents of Alyssa, Allison and Abigail.
