In our opening concert, Schola Cantorum will sing some of the world’s most moving and beautiful music – African American Spirituals, including settings by Dawson, Fleming, Hogan, Hairston, Ringwald, and Shaw/Parker.

For many of our patrons, the Christmas season doesn’t officially begin until the Schola concerts! Join us this year for Echoes of Christmases Past (music by Parsons, Hassler, Bruckner), and invigorating Carols of the Season (music by Adams, Hella Johnson, Lauridsen, Sund, Young). These concerts also include cameo performances by the high school choirs from Keller Central High School and Trinity Valley School of Fort Worth.
Invitations - Schola Cantorum Chamber Choir
February 9, 7:30 p.m. - Arborlawn UMC Chapel
The Schola Chamber Choir, led by conducting associate Robert Ward, will sing an intimate concert in the new Chapel at Arborlawn United Methodist Church. In this season of love, we invite you to hear Jean Belmont Ford's choral cycle that traces the age old story of courtship from the awakening of love to its culmination. Belmont's Invitations will be paired with additional choral and solo works that embrace the season.
Walk In Peace
February 22, 3:00 p.m. - University Christian Church - Fort Worth
Schola will join with the TCU University Singers and the Chancel Choir of University Christian Church for a concert celebrating MLK and Black History Month, focusing on the African American Spiritual.
April 12, 7:30 p.m. - White's Chapel United Methodist Chruch
April 13, 7:30 p.m. - Arborlawn UMC - Fort Worth
The return of the popular Cathedral Echoes in 2015 concludes the season's journey with performances of Mass in G Minor by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Handel's Chandos Anthem No. 4, O Sing Unto The Lord, as well as new works by Daniel Elder and Eric Esenvalds. The April 12th concert also features a cameo appearance by the choir from Keller High School.
