Here We Come A-Carolin’
Sunday, Dec. 13 – 7:30 p.m. – Trinity UMC, 3321 West Park Row Drive, Arlington
Monday, Dec. 14 – 7:30 p.m. – St. Stephen Presbyterian Church, 2700 McPherson Ave., Fort Worth
Tuesday, Dec. 15 – 7:30 p.m. – White’s Chapel UMC, 185 S. White’s Chapel Blvd., Southlake
Schola also will continue its popular A Gift of Music at Christmas concerts, presented free of charge. This series, one Tarrant County’s most popular seasonal celebrations, draws thousands each year to hear carols old and new and to join in the carol sing-along.
Music selections will include:
- O Magnum Mysterium, by Morten Lauridsen
- Cantate Domino, by Vytautas Miskinish
- Franz Biebl's Ave Maria
- Ave Maris Stella, by Edvard Grieg
- Advent Antiphons - medieval literature in settings by British composer Bob Chilcott
- In Silent Night, arrangement by Malcolm Sargent
- The Christmas Song, arrangement by Peter Knight
- We Wish You A Merry Christmas, arranged by Alice Parker
- Two traditional carols in new settings with piano four-hands by Mack Wilberg - Fum, Fum, Fum, and I Saw Three Ships
- John Rutter's Candelight Carol
- Silver Bells
